Eggless dates cake (Khajoor ka cake)

  1. All Purpose flour (Maida) - 1cup
  2. Dates (khajoor)  - 22Pcs (Seedless)
  3. Milk - 1cup (You can use 2% or Whole milk)
  4. Sugar Powder - 1/2cup (or you can grind it)
  5. Canola oil - 1/2cup (cooking oil)
  6. Baking Soda - 1tsp (Plz don't use Baking Powder)
  7. Walnut - 5-6tbl spn or 1/8th cup crushed pieces or chopped(Optional)

  1. Soak the dates in warm milk for 3-4 hours or you can even microwave them for 2 mins so that dates become soft which helps in grinding.
  2. Grind the soaked dates along with milk.
  3. Pour into a wide mixing bowl.
  4. Add sugar, all purpose flour, canola oil, baking soda, walnuts and mix slowly.
  5. Mix well for 4-5mins.
  6. Preheat the oven at 350F.
  7. Grease the baking cake pan and pour the batter into it.
  8. Bake in a pre-heated oven (350 degrees F) for 35 minutes in the center/lower shelf or rack of the oven.
  9. Once done, take the cake out from oven and allow it to stand for 5 minutes.

Note: If you use ‘baking powder’ instead of ‘baking soda’, cake becomes a bit harder.
